Biography
Alfredo Salomón. Visual Artist born in Puebla, Mexico, 1968. Studied Communication Science at Universidad de las Américas- Puebla (89-94). Researcher and coordinator of the Moving Images area at the Multimedia Centre CNART (95-97). Co-founder of video post-production centre Las Perlas de la Virgen (96-00) and the group TECH-MEX (2000- present). FONCA and Rockefeller Foundation Scholarship holder. Residency at Banff Centre for the Arts in Alberta, Canada (99). His work has been exhibited in festivals and bars in Mexico, Canada, Finland, Malaysia, France, and Greece. Member of Sistema Nacional de Creadores (National System of Creators). Professor at the National School of Painting, Sculpture and Engraving "La Esmeralda" (00-08). His current work revolves around the performing arts and video installation.
