This short animation explores the possibilities of creating movements from materials that exist in the environment: holes in a stone and water. It begins and ends with the paper, making reference to the pictorial representation, inspired by the observation of nature.
Simon Gerbaud (Auxerre, France, 1976) is an artist and animation creator. After some theoretical studies in Sorbona, Paris, he engaged himself to drawing and animation in a self-taught manner. In his stop-motion projects he uses shadows, beard hair and other materials that can be found in daily life in order to animate them. He lives and works in Mexico.
