Ricardo Nicolayevsky

Mexico Lindo (a broken record)

Based on Gustavo Monroy's work

"Mexico Lindo (un disco rayado)"

Conceptual piece, that uses a minimal resource to comment on the political situation of Mexico, creating a satire and taking it to a sinister level and with caustic humor. The audio is original.

***
"This piece was not made trying to copy the aesthetics in Monroy's piece, instead I wanted to place what happened to me emotionally when I came in contact with the painting. That first impact that shook me because of its rawness, strength and overwhelming and critical character of the piece."
