Arcángel Constantini is an artist and independent curator, who creates playful and experimental work related to technology. Collector of post-use technologies that he validates and integrates to his own work as natural deconstruction of technological phenomena that re-signifies in the art context. Since the 80's he has been involved in different digital, visual and sound projects, specializing part of his practice to the development of net-art projects in 1997. Sound experimentation has been a fundamental practice both in the production aspect and in management. He has programmed more than twenty acts of authorial interactivity as well as the Sunday program of sound intervention "Inmerso/foro sonoro" 2004-06. Since 2000 he has been programming different visual-and-sound acts in inte[r]perie, the terrace of his home-studio / formalized as an independent space for experimentation and art in 2006 with the opening of ¼ . He was co-curator, with Ivan Abreu, of the inaugural event of the Centre for Design, Cinema and Television. He was collaborator of the curatorial program for the inaugural event of the Fonoteca Nacional. He received the Grant of Young Creators FONCA in 2000, Rockefeller Macarthur 2002, First Place in multimedia in the Vidarte Festival 1999, First Award in the Interferences Festival in France 2000, and Third Award in Art in the Net of Machita City Museum of Tokyo 1998, National System of Creators FONCA 05-08, he is a tutor at Young Creators FONCA 08-09, incentive VIDA11 of Telefonica Foundation 2009.
His recent developments involve the re-thinking of the energy processes in the understood in the inductive capacity of the processes involved in the social environment and the relationship with the environment.
Since 1997 he maintains a constant output of art projects on the web. He is curator of the Cyberlounge Museo Tamayo as well as part of the curatorial team of the Electronc Art Biennial Transito MX 2005, 2009. He is manager and curator of electronic art related events and director of the emerging gallery ¼. He is part of the Dorkbot council in Mexico City.
His work has been exhibited in distinguished festivals and electronic art shows in Canada, Korea, Italy, Germany, Argentina, Holland, Spain, United Kingdom, Uruguay, Peru, China, United States and Puerto Rico.
