Based on Manuela Generali's work
("El barco")
This piece takes the central element of Manuela Generali’s paitning “Errantes”, The Boat. It becomes the main object-subject of the video installation. The boat cruises for a day and a night at the infinite sea. This piece is a formal exercise that plays with perspective, movement and time.
Biography
Sarah Minter born in Puebla in 1953.
She has created documentaries, fiction, videos and video installations. Her work has been exhibited in important venues in Mexico and abroad. Among the awards she has received: Coral Award at the International Film Festival of La Habana, and First Award at the Muestra de Cine Mexicano. She has received scholarships from: Rockefeller Foundation, MacArtur and FONCA.
